There are many web directories in the internet, most of them are paid, but some them accept free submissions as well. Most of the directories that accept free submissions require a link back to them. So, if you submit your website to them, you must put a reciprocal link pointing to those directories.

Here is a general directory that accepts submissions for free and does not require a link back.

The crazy thing that hooked me in was the fact that in his manual, he showed exactly how he used one ad, and one only keyword and was able to generate more than $10,000 in just two weeks.

Can you imagine using his blueprint with hundreds of keywords and hundreds of ads? Frankly, I have never heard of anything like that before. And I have been making money online for several years.

When push comes to shove, and at under a $10, grabbing his blueprint is a complete no brainer. By the way, I learned two brand new affiliate tricks from this man, and have even started to put them into motion with my marketing. The better price for this is around $60, not $10. Of course that’s just my opinion.

Article marketing

Write articles (400-600 words) and submit in major article directories. After each article provide a signature file –  brief information about you (the author), your business, your offer and a link to your web site.

Social networks

Create a profile on MySpace, Facebook etc. Invide and add new friends, join interest groups or create new groups targeted to your potential customers.

Blog comments

Read popular blog posts in your niche and leave your comments with a link your web site. Usually there is a special field for website address in comments’ submission form.

Blogs

Create a blog and start posting regularly. Submit your blog into blog directories. Submit your blog RSS link into RSS directories.

Classifieds advertising

There are a lot of websites where you could post an online ad, for example, Craigslist.org, Vivastreet.co.uk.

Video marketing

Create a short video about your product or service and post it on Youtube.com, MySpace.com e.o. When writing description of video, don’t forget to include a link your web site.

Forums

Join online forums and at first create a signature file in your profile.  Then just read forum posts and take part in online discussions. Every time you post a reply, your signature file will appear under your post automatically.

Email List

Start building a list of subscribers. Provide them with useful information and advertise your web site.

SEO or search engine optimization

Make sure your web pages contain keywords realeted to your niche market in meta tags (title, keywords, description), in heading (h1) and content text, image tags and alt descriptions, page names. When you link from other sites, include a keyword in anchor text.

PPC or pay-per-click marketing

You can start generate traffic instantly with PPC. Most popular PPC advertising programs are Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing and MSN AdCenter. After signup create an ad, choose revelant keywords and start receiving visitors to your web site.

In my opinion, the main problem new businessmen meet when starting online business is related to choosing the right market niche. There are millions of web sites in the Internet. There are both non-profit and for-profit websites.  The truth is, most of the websites do not generate any profit. How could you choose the right direction? In perfect world it would be great if any web site you visit would show you their financial statements, for example, the number of unique visitors per month, income per month, advertising and total expenses per month and monthly profit amount. It would be great for market research purposes. You would know which websites generate a huge income and wich – small. You would know which web businesses are most profitable and which – the least profitable. After all, why reinvent the wheel? On the basis of your market (competitor) research, you could simply create a similar internet business.
